House Judiciary Committee chairman John Conyers (D-MI) has probably done more to throw a lead anchor around the neck of a health reform bill that’s barely treading water than any other man or woman or filmmaker alive.
Not only that, he’s exposes, inadvertently, what Congress really is:
In response to the habit of our liberal and conservative representative’s habit of being too busy to read their own bills, common ordinary people, who have real jobs, have now taken it upon themselves to find extra time during their day to try to read & understand the damn health care reform bill. Check out:
- Let’s Read The Bill (fun, fun, fun!!!)
- This is a good idea but probably a lost cause because we’re talking about, you know, the people who represent us, and they certainty don’t have the time to do that: — political junkets are time consuming!
- Read the (Damn) Bill!!!
- And finally, more citizens are becoming their own government watchdogs:

Political Junkets Also Consume a LOT of Bill Reading Time & Taxpayer Money
